Relationships Snapshot — Solid, but a Little Empty

Relationship-wise, I'm doing solid with Jordan. I've been spending a lot of time at his place, and he's been very loving and kind. It's been 8 months in now, which feels really meaningful.

Family-wise, I've been a bit less in touch, which is something I do want to work on. At the same time, there are still some weird dynamics and pressures here — especially with my brother and mom — that feel a little off to me, so I'm not totally sure what the right balance is. My sister and I have been snapping daily, which is nice, but I haven't FaceTimed her in a while. She's traveling in Malaysia right now and seems to be having fun, though, which makes me happy.

Friendship-wise, it's kind of similar. I hung out with Stela a few times this past month, and Cody once. Tomorrow is Cody's heartwarming party — scratch that, housewarming party, I always get that wrong lol — so Jordan and I will be heading into the city for that. Soundi and I are still texting on Snapchat, and that's about it. I definitely feel a bit empty right now when it comes to my social life… but maybe, for now, that's okay.

I also reconnected with my high school friends today. Chantal and Jonathan both seem to be doing well. Jonathan broke up with his girlfriend, but it sounds like it was mutual, which is good. Chantal apparently has a huge bruise on her calf and isn't really sure why — though she does acrobatics, so maybe it's related, even if she usually only gets smaller bruises. Since it's Jonathan's birthday, we ended up catching up on life a bit. Apparently Chantal has a new coworker who was in our high school class, and she remembers us, but I don't remember her at all. Jonathan seems to remember, though lol. Our high school was huge — 800+ people in our class alone — so honestly that makes sense.
