Pigman Book
Drove back from the lake house to Reno today and went to Jordan's sister Katie's birthday party. 🎂 It was fun — lots of good food and good company.
Katie's got a lot of friends, and I got to meet a few of them at the party. There was this cute couple who apparently knew each other since high school but only started dating recently. Another couple with kids around 6 and 9. The 9-year-old spent a lot of time talking to me throughout the party, and at one point he showed me this book he'd made — about some pigman game or video he'd seen, lol. It was actually a choose-your-own-adventure book, too. The drawing and the story were genuinely pretty good, and he was so passionate explaining it. I kind of think this kid might be a future game developer or story writer / creator-type for sure.
Later on his dad came over and thanked me for spending time with him, which was sweet — I told him no problem, the book was actually interesting and his kid is genuinely talented. Lol.
His younger brother, on the other hand, is a bit weirder. He kept dancing… enticingly? Or something? I genuinely don't know how to explain it.
But yeah, overall a good party. Had fun. 🙂
